Day 17 – March 17, 2011 – Thursday Total Mileage 615 , Today 52 Miles


Happy St Patrick’s Day!  They don’t seem to make such a big deal about this holiday down here.  Could be because they are not over Mardi Gras or it’s Lent and they are behaving…   Tonight we spend the night in Johnson Mississippi State Park, we drove twenty-miles off route to get there only to find they were completely full.  We stayed in the primitive camping area, went out for dinner at the 3-Little Pigs BBQ (apparently the Wolf got the pigs in end!), then came back to the park and crashed for the night, in the morning we had a picnic breakfast by the park office (where there was electric, water and picnic tables) hmm… maybe next time we’ll just wait for the office to open at the office parking lot.

I told David "Turn Around - Don't Drown", but he didn't listen
This is a “Ford” or a Subaru crossing a ford.

    Did you get 2 beers for going over 50 miles in one day? You must really be sleeping well at night!
