Day 8 – March 8th, Tuesday  Total = 302 miles, Today 40 miles

After struggling to connect to the internet to post to the blog with no success; I took off from the KOA to ride for the day, so much less frustrating. 
One of the KOA kitties says bye-bye to Ariel!

Perhaps not the highest point in Florida but it felt like it at the time, I could see a mighty long way!

The Russ house has an interesting history and so does the town of Marianna.  Site of a significant Civil War battle.

We camped at Falling Water FL State Park, it was very quite and beautiful. We walked around to see the waterfall.  Which falls about 73 feet, into a major sink hole which appeared to be deeper than the actual fall was high.  The park is at one of the highest points in Florida at about 322 feet.

    Liking this living vicariously......you may have to start a business of guiding groups of folks on this ride!

    Here's the question for the day-where's David when you are riding, following, going ahead, scouting, a bit of them all.....?

    I love the history classes and all of the beautiful scenery especially the flowers! Are you tired yet? 302 miles is about 10% of your goal! Keep up the awesome work!

    2 bad it doesn't snow there. you could play garage no garage instead of find a house that isnt purple.
