tarted out pretty cool (relative to the pass few days) it was 42oF. We slowly got ready to ride, and traveled back to the end point from yesterday which was in Tallahassee at the end of St Marks Bike Trail. Before starting out we stopped at University Bike Shop to get the front tire trued, so the front brakes could be better adjusted. I mentioned some difficulty shifting and the owner discussed the type and amount of lube, not to mention the amount of muck on my chain and gears… it has been a rough few days! So he graciously clean it off, re-lubed, adjust the derailleur and brakes, and trued the wheel for a very reasonable price and while we waited. It was clearing and warmer when we got started about 30 minutes later. Traffic was a little heavier/busier roads today, not so many pictures but in the last 4-miles I came across this surprise!

We met up with Captain America again!
We stayed at another KOA, internet service was very spotty and only occured in location that I was not in... thus the late postings. It was a nice campground and had a bunch of cats.

you guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys should check out warmshowers.org if you haven't already. it saved my back...and my b.o. :) are you doing adventure cycling? i am so excited for you! if you were biking these parts, i'd definitely do a leg with you. congrats!

ReplyDeleteI missed a few days...feels like a lot. Our Michigan trip helps me relate much more to what's going on...e.g. detours ;-). Am loving the pictures. The little details mean so much. Would love to have met Capt. America!
